    NCC/Scout & Guides

    The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. Officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. It is a two year programme at school level.
    NCC Army Wing started in Kendriya Vidyalaya Chamera I , Khairi under the supervision of 9 HP Bn NCC Dalhousie in session 2023-24 and 25 students (15 JD and 10 JW) enrolled in first batch. Army officials visit school regularly to train students in different NCC activities and take sessions explaining objectives, motto, aim and history of NCC. In 2024 students of first batch will attend 10 days training camp and new enrollment of 25 students will be done. After successful completion of two year NCC cadets get “ A” certificate which is helpful for them to have a carrer in Armed forces as well as in other professions as NCC helps to develop their leadership and confidence.
